You will wind through farms and mountains all day, and then cross through a huge landslide site. You’ll cross some bridges, and stop for several great photo opportunities. Today you are passing through remote regions of the country and you’ll get a sense of how far out some people really live!

As you head down towards Lanquin the temperature will rise and the surroundings will turn very lush. You will cross back and forth between pavement and dirt and carve trough large palms and tropical vegetation. You’ll spend the night along a tranquil river in a jungle lodge where you’ll have s communal buffet style dinner and relax on the dock with a drink.

Semuc Champey

Day Off to visit Semuc Champey

After 3 days of back-to-back riding, today you’ll have a chance to take a day off the bikes and explore the National Park of Semuc Champey. Semuc Champey is a popular destination in Guatemala for both tourists and locals. It is a series of cascading waterfalls and crystal clear water deep in the jungle. It’s a prefect opportunity to swim and relax in a very unique environment.  At the park you can hike up to a lookout point with a full view down over the falls.  There is a cave system to explore, waterfalls, and even natural water-slides. There is also a chance of seeing monkeys!
