Self-Guided Mini Monster Tour

We pack more than you'd think into a 6 day tour!
About This

Our 6 DAY tour is a perfect fit for the adventurous rider with limited time available. This tour packs a lot of great riding into 4 days on the bikes. You will carve the canyon and mountain roads to remote regions of Guatemala, you’ll visit the breathtaking Lake Atitlan, and circle 6 different Volcanoes. This tour is VERY similar to our Guided Mini-Monster Tour, but in the Self-Guided format you go on your own with a GPS and roadbook.

Day 1

Airport Pick-Up

Welcome to Guatemala! We meet you at La Aurora Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City with a private shuttle and bring you to the historic town of Antigua for the night (45 minute drive).

Day 2

Volcanoes of Antigua

5 hours riding, 0-35% off pavement

We will meet at our shop where we will familiarize you with your bike and have a briefing about the tour. We’ll then go on a Cultural ride in the foothills and villages surrounding Antigua.

We will make several interesting stops to get a feel for the local character and style of life in Guatemala. We’ll visit many places today that typical tourists never get to see.

The rest of the afternoon will be yours to wander the beautiful cobblestone streets of Antigua. We will help you get local currency today if needed.

Day 3

Into the Mountains

8 hours, 0-30% off pavement

We’ll head out early in the morning for nice long day riding North on the bikes to the Cuchumatanes mountain range. Today we’ll experience a wide range of terrain, climates, and cultures. We’ll have fantastic riding all day with great views.

We’ll sleep deep in the hills on a remote cheese farm. It’s a truly unique experience and one of the places our customers always rave about. We’ll have a hearty meal in the family dining room, and retire to private cabins on the hillside.

Day 4

Lake Atitlan [Epic]

6.5 hours riding, 20% off pavement

As we leave the farm we’ll zig-zag our way through the mountains heading south. As we near the lake we will be greeted with great vistas looking down over the volcanoes. We will spend the night in Panajachel right by the lakeside.

Day 5

Sugarcane & River Crossings

6 hours riding, 25% off pavement
Sunrise over the Lake Atitlan is beautiful. After a nice breakfast, we’ll depart along the edge of the lake on our way tback to Antigua. We’ll cross through sugar cane fields and rubber tree plantations (two of Guatemala’s largest industries) on our way through the lowlands. As we go up in elevation we will eventually find ourselves with two giant volcanoes looming on both sides of us. We’ll have the possibility of crossing several small rivers and seeing an active volcano.

Day 6

Airport Drop-Off

Goodbyes are always sad, but you’re headed to the airport, and we’ll get you there. Our shuttle takes you to the airport for your departure.
